Information
In Reception I will learn...
Our EYFS bubble took part in sports day events. They enjoyed a variety of activities and enjoyed the chance to compete against each other.
What a great Christmas Party Reception children had. A  very special party to celebrate  he end of term 2. Wow! What a  first year at Severnbanks these children are having .
Our writing area has been very busy this week following the arrival of a magical post box delivering letters to Santa.
ENGLISH  Term 2 - our special book for this term is Owl Babies by Martin Waddell.  A gentle tale of three baby owls who are waiting for their Mummy to come home.
Term 3 - our special book for this term is Handa's Surprise. This is the story of Handa, who is part of the Luo tribe in south-west Kenya. Handa decides to take seven pieces of delicious fruit to her friend, Akeyo, who lives in the neighbouring village. But as Handa wonders, I wonder what fruit Akeyo will like best?, a series of sneaky animals steal something from Handa's basket, which she's carrying on her head... When Handa reaches Akeyo, will she have anything left to offer her friend?

Term 4 we will be reading Jack and The Beanstalk. We will be looking at how we could grow our own magic beans!

Term 5 we are reading Lucy and Tom at the seaside.

Term 6, our special book in On the Way Home by Jill Murphy -
'Claire has hurt her knee so she sets off home to tell her mum all about it. On the way she meets her friends and tells them how the fall happened. But just how did it happen . . .? Was she dropped by a wolf, a slithering snake, an enormous dragon or a hairy gorilla?! '

On the Way Home is a fantastic journey of the imagination that every child who tells the occasional tall tale will relate to!
