Uniform
At Severnbanks, we believe that wearing a school uniform helps create a sense of belonging, pride, and equality among our pupils. Our uniform reflects the values of our school and encourages children to come to school ready to learn, play, and thrive.
School uniforms keep pupils focused on their education, not their clothes, creating a level playing field among pupils’, reducing peer pressure and bullying.
We ask all families to support our uniform policy by ensuring children wear the correct clothing each day. This helps promote a positive learning environment and reinforces our shared commitment to high standards and mutual respect.
Please ensure that your child arrives at school each day wearing the correct uniform, appropriate footwear and the correct PE kit on PE days. We also ask that all clothing is clearly named to help us return any lost items quickly.
We will be applying our uniform expectations consistently. If there are any difficulties in obtaining uniform items, please contact the school and we will be happy to discuss how we may be able to support you.

Our Uniform
Children are expected to come to school each day dressed in suitable clothing.
Boys Uniform

Black, grey or navy blue trousers or shorts (not denim)

All black shoes or all black trainers. No multi-colored trainers, coloured logos or stripes
Girls Uniform

Jewellery Reminder
For health and safety reasons, jewellery should be kept to a minimum in school. Children may wear one pair of small, plain stud earrings and a wristwatch. Please note that oversized studs are not permitted, as they can present a safety risk and are not considered appropriate for school. Earrings must be removed for PE lessons by the child, or not worn on PE days. Staff are unable to remove or replace earrings on behalf of pupils.
Smart watches are not permitted in school, as they can cause distractions and may have functions such as messaging, internet access, audio recording or photography.
No other jewellery should be worn to school, including rings, necklaces, bracelets, anklets, hoop earrings or dangling earrings. We thank parents and carers for their support in helping us maintain a safe environment for all pupils and minimise the risk of injury during learning, play and physical activity.

Jeans, football shirts, other sports tops and brightly patterned shirts are not considered to be appropriate clothing for school. There will be occasions when children are invited to wear 'non school uniform' and you will be informed of these. |
